SIAP: Insight Into Richt’s Last Year At UGA

Interesting article. Pruitt sounds like a real D’Onutfrio level **** sucker. Brown sounds like the kind of guy you go to battle with.

What Happened at UGA in 2015? Part One... The Vacuum is Filled

Interesting read.

This part especially:

“That should have never happened,” one starter said about the incident. “Pruitt was wrong about that. That was wrong. You don’t talk to another man like that. Not your head coach.”

Pruitt later reiterated in a press conference the fall of 2015 that Richt was in charge.

“We lost some respect for Coach Richt in that moment,” a player said of the spring 2015 practice. “Right then it should have been handled.”

-------------------------------------------------------------

I really nd truly hope Richt learned from that. Its one thing to turn the other cheek but what he did that day lost him his team.

Hopefully the 305 is surely bringing that goon out of him.

He lost control of the program when he was told by administrators to take a more “hands off” approach to coaching. What example would he be showing to his players if he stoops to Pruitt’s level and goes after him?

Richt showed this year that he’s not afraid to speak his mind (see Wisconsin game), so there had to have been another reason for him not reacting.

Seems like the AD and administrators made many bad hires trying to transform into Bama over night.

Wrong....you can't be a true Christian and allow yourself to be forced to anger by some idiot. Christianity doesn't work like that.

What? So Jesus didnt cuss the fig tree and throw the money lenders out?

Shut up. To be a christian is to do exactly that. Stand up for yourself and whats right.

Wrong. You get attacked - you break your foot off in your opponent's *** - and then forgive him.

Whip his *** - and no hard feelings.

That's the way it's done.

I think his players misread the situation you stoop to his level it appears you have less control. Uga did more wrong than richt ever did

Yeah, Rivht had stepped back and made some bad hires. Pruitt was a back stabbing a-hole but Richt lost control of the program and needed to go at the end. He won't make the same mistakes at Miami. If he do, he know da banners gonna fly.

That hire was forced on him.

Wow I actually forgot they hired an offensive coordinator... he was trash too ... **** some of y’all are screaming for richt to get play callers or all these other coaches that don’t mesh with richt or his personality ... that is what you get when the AD try’s to pidgeonhole you with parts that don’t fit

As a Christian you must obey God's commandments...simple facts. He handled that situation with dignity. Richt is a great Christian ambassador. I'm proud to call him my brother.

The excuses y'all making for Richt. My goodness. I'm going to call it was it is. Reading that was disturbing how a HC who had been there for 15 years let a newly hired DC take full control of his program with little resistance in front of his employers, other coaches, and players to the point it was clear to everyone involved.

Your the HC. You check everyone's attitude and ego at the door coach and player. Point Blank Period. Y'all can miss me with the excuses of what the admin did or did not do. What I read was a HC kneeling to a employee. That has nothing to do with the UGA admin. Richt is the boss he is suppose to check dude at the door or handle that situation when it present itself ESPECIALLY when it in front of your players. You can't be a softie and risk losing the respect of your players.. you just can't. It also show how dysfunctional your staff is and player won't trust them.

Also the hires seem to be flat out terrible. The most concerning hire is that he hired a S&C coach that appeared to not have any clue what he was doing. I also found it interesting how Richt let Manny hire people similar to how he let Pruitt hire people. If Manny had Pruitt's balls I wonder if Manny could do the same thing Pruitt did.

No one can read that and not be concerned. NO ONE.

You should be a motivational speaker and teach other people how to be great leaders.

I’m sure you’re a very successful leader yourself, commanding great respect, and I know you have achieved great things. You must be one of the very best at what you do. It shows by your well thought out and written posts.

The fact that Richt is considered a top 10 or so coach in college football is nothing compared to what I’m sure your accomplishments are. It’s clear you’re top 5 in the country in your field, far surpassing Richt.

It’s a shame Richt didn’t have you as his mentor and advisor when he was at UGA. You have a lot of wisdom, success and experience to offer to people who have already had succcess in their lives, like Richt. Except your accomplishments far exceed his.

I'm not taking about Richt ability to actually coach. I'm talking about being in the game for 15 years and handling a situation like that so poorly.
