What's the definition of Insanity? Seems Richt is just repeating the same mistakes he made at UGa and hoping for a different outcome. I was really hoping that this season was just a Blemish on Richt's career but it's not? At this point, he's not getting fired & it doesn't look like any staff changes are happening but he should be put on a short leash next season

"Had Richt played the much more physically gifted Murray over the over-hyped recruit with the mid-major arm and high school ability to make decisions when pressured fellow in Cox (and no disrespect meant to Cox by the way, there is no shame in failing to be an above average SEC QB; the truth is that he never should have been set up to fail in the first place), UGA has about the same season last year as they wound up having anyway.
The difference is that with a year of experience under his belt, Murray would have been a much better QB this season, and in position to contend in an SEC East where Tennessee is a mess, Florida has real problems on offense, and South Carolina and Kentucky cannot compete with UGA's raw talent.
So, start Murray last year and they still go 8-5 last year. The difference is that they are almost certainly 2-1 and possibly 3-0 and in the top 10 playing a guy who has a year of experience in the SEC under his belt, and so the world's largest ****tail party in that scenario is the de facto SEC East title game."

The idea that Richt was ever this great play-caller/strategist at his days at FSU is fiction, people.

First Richt wasn't running the FSU offense during their best years, Bobby Bowden and other coordinators like former South Carolina head coach Brad Scott were.

When Richt got the FSU offensive coordinator job, he didn't do anything especially groundbreaking or innovative at FSU. By then, FSU was already a powerhouse well into their record-breaking string of consecutive top 5 finishes. FSU's offensive success during a great deal of that era was mostly due to the fact that back then (the 80s and early 90s) they were the only big time southern program relying on the passing game. As a result, most other southern schools were built around running the ball and stopping the run, and no one had the knowledge or the personnel to defend it.

Fvck Mark Richt

Guys been a head coach 18 years and having a similar situation almost a decade ago is now supposed to be some kind of trend?

Idgaf who was to blame for the offensive woes of Georgia over 5 years ago. Bobo should NEVER be hired at Miami if thats where this is going. U think coach Brown blames everyone but the staff? Bobo is Brown X 10000.

Funny thing though.. Richt even made Bobo start his career as a GA. Unlike certain relatives..

Yes Richt should be put on a short leash next season. If he can not navigate the 2019 pathetic schedule and lose no more than 1 game, he needs to be shown the door. The schedule is soooo freakin manageable that all he needs to do is have an average offense because the teams we play will all struggle to move the ball on our defense.

outside of LSU we had ridiculously easy schedule this year, plus FSU having its worse team in 30 plus years and having an elite defense we still lost to the gauntlet of ACC coastal teams

next year, florida does not look like an easy win anymore and mullen will be looking to make a statement
our defense will likely take a step back
we lose our top 2 WRs

he better start on the hot seat the leash was shortened after he lost to DUKE!!!
