Playoff committee ignores its own criteria to cherry pick who they want in the playoffs. Doesn’t have to be just miami. Big12 (Utah) and sec (Vandy) both can make arguments that playoff committee is a fraud.

I doubt that happens. But Miami isn’t SMU or UVA. We may have been dog **** for the better part of two decades. But the Miami brand is still strong. If you subscribe to the thinking ESPN has their best interests in mind, I wouldn’t be shocked to see ND being NBC and non conference playing a role.

It's all just a joke and nothing anyone outside of the sec or big 10 does will change that.

As much as it should **** everyone off we wouldn't be in this spot if Mario and coordinators didn't **** the bed. Louisville I can force myself to be okay with while disappointed. Smh is just ***. ZERO excuse.

As an ACC team, you basically get 1 mulligan game per year when there's a 12 team playoff (2 if you're in the SEC) and still fully control your own destiny.

So Mario can have one game per year where he flops like we know he will.

But to allow it to happen twice in a 3 week period when we all knew it was coming is just flat out unacceptable and embarrassing

Wholeheartedly agree 100% 24/7 365 (366 with leap year if it’s there) but this can’t be a narrow win, it has to be a convincing win. As I said in another thread, it has to be us 40+ points and Pitt around 10ish, that will knock out the 70-7 Irish win over Syracuse. Just win and go all out with your offense, keep the foot on the gas, don’t go into a shell just keep going non-stop, go uptempo for quick scores and if the defense holds which usually after a series or 2 happens, they should get some 3 and outs, and keep the big plays going, we can’t waste 6ish minutes of a quarter just to settle for a field goal, heck that’s even a long time just for a td. Do or die Saturday, make the playoffs, use that for traction for the off-season and head into 2026 strong.

The answer is simple conference play must start immediately. No more OOC game to start the season. Run your conference gauntlet then close with OOC with final game your in conf or ooc rival then see where we are at.

I’m glad the media is fighting this injustice but let’s be real - this sport is controlled by the powers that be and they want ND in.

We could beat Pitt 100-0 and they’d still put nd in ahead of us. The committee/ the big10/sec have no integrity - it’s all about creating narratives to put in nd and teams from the 2 aforementioned conferences.

The ACC/Big12 need to protect its teams and pull out of the cfp. Have your own tournament - the sec/big can’t have a national champion without the participation of the other conferences. I would also tell nd to pound sand since they want special treatment.

The acc and their LACK of ACCOUNTABILITY with the biased referees is on them and they deserve NO representation in this playoff if it’s not Miami

They should have taken care of this and they have not done so

Which means that we face each other in the playoff without ever being close enough to be compared head to head by the committee bracket and notre dame gets the home game.

Head to Head - Miami
NC State - Miami (41-7) vs Notre Dame (36-7)
Syracuse - Notre Dame (77-7) vs Miami (38-10)
Pitt - Notre Dame (37-15) vs Miami (?)
Stanford - Miami (42-7) vs Notre Dame (?)

If Miami has a similar showing against Pitt and Notre Dame has a similar showing against Stanford then wtf are we doing here? We played almost half the same schedule, with potentially very similar results, and we beat them head to head. That's it, that's the end of the discussion.
