SI Roundtable: Golden on hottest seat (SIAP)

Alfalfa is finally a star in the making. He is finally gonna be crowned Miss Congeniality. His momma must be so proud.

It's only a matter of time. If he loses to VT....oh boy! He might just wanna pack his bags immediately after the game

Ben Estes: Golden

The correct answer should be Flood, but if Rutgers’s embarrassment of an athletic department hasn’t fired him by now, it’s likely not going to based on anything that happens the rest of the year. Whether Golden’s firing would be deserved is something of a debate—the results haven’t been great, but the obstacles presented by the program's sanctions during his tenure would have been tough for any coach to deal with. Regardless, as the ubiquitous “Fire Al Golden” banner indicates, momentum has been shifting away from him for quite a while now, and with the Canes headed toward yet another competitive but underwhelming season, it appears Golden’s time has come.

Ben should change his last name to Hill, because he's just as funny.

What hot seat? Hey, Al feels no pressure, remember? I have full confidence that the BUM (Bored of UM) and the AD will f@ck this up, since they already have. Nice of the national media types to begin to notice that UM football isn't quite itself lately (for, like, a decade). And one of these lintheads is talking about the cloud.

wow look at this fhaggot in the comments:

Al Golden did his best trying to run a clean program ... albeit one with a slimy history/booster culture. Yeah Miami won some championships ... on the backs of recruiting violations, paying players and lack of institutional control ... but they are not a storied program and their fans should not expect an immediate return to the glory years. The only reason Miami didn't get the death penalty in the wake of the Nevin Shapiro debacle is because Mark Emmert's NCAA is incredibly incompetent. Good luck in the post-Golden years Miami fans ... you're going to need it. Maybe Uncle Luke can restore the program to glory.

Sounds like a butthurt Gator.

Gabriel Baumgaertner: Golden

Unless Golden beats Clemson in two weeks, the ‘signature’ win he’s been seeking won’t come in 2015. If he loses to anybody except Clemson from here on out, it’s hard to imagine how he keeps what was once one of college football’s most coveted positions.

This.

He shouldn't keep his job even if he runs the table.
