Terrance is ignorant of Colorado's own history, as he fails to recall that starting in the mid-80s, Buffs coach Bill McCartney made it a point to recruit inner-city kids with gang affiliations. I mean ****, the disgrace of a publication Terrance writes for even did a story on it back in the 80s, that opens with: "There are a few things a university of colorado campus policeman won't leave the office without: handcuffs, his copy of the Miranda warning and a University of Colorado football program." Read it here.
Maybe Terrance missed it because he was more of an ESPN guy back then...oh wait, ESPN did an Outside the Lines special in the late 90s called "Turf Wars: Gangs & Sports" featuring a segment on those same CU teams.
So the question isn't "When did Colorado turn into old-school Miami?" the question should be "When did Colorado turn back into old-school Colorado?"
I suppose it's all we have at this point. Our fan base is triggered so easily.
