shut up or put up (sleepers)

I would think he is in the 2 deep?

Oku/Kinsler/Mccoy (or R-Rod)/SJ (or Franco) / and I guess Minaya?

Fair point and I'm hoping he's in the top 7-8 man rotation. The challenge with Samson is that he has a high NIL. If he was a 3 star dude or under the radar type, then I think one can argue that patience is needed. However, the reality of CFB is that if you have a high NIL and don't produce through 2 years, you might be on your way out. It's purely a financial discussion. I would love it if he would be our starting tackle for next year but I think he has a long way to go.

And what exactly is it that makes you so certain that Bobby Washington or Adarius Hayes will never start here?

BW is going to miss another year and he was rumored to portaling out before he got hurt. He also is known as a guy who is not very instinctive at LB and needs to learn the playbook more. He'll be a 4th year junior by the time he plays next.

Hayes, while imposing physically, is a bit on the stiff side which is not ideal to play big minutes at LB. Can he play here? Yeah, but I don't think he's starter material. JMO

Ya in terms of NIL I can see your argument, just saying…We have had a good OL couple years now, and it seems he is in the 2 deep…So the problem may not be that he can't play. He may be just fine or down only slightly from what fanbase expected/his rating

Washington did portal out but decided to come back. Unfortunately he was hurt during practice for the Pop Shart Bowl. The lack of instincts I can buy but the issues of learning the playbook were mostly a result of Guidry's ridiculously complex scheme. You watched last season. Most defensive players had no clue what they were doing of how to adjust to motion. Bobby Washington IMO is a perfect type to shine in coach Hetherman's scheme because it is very simple yet aggressive and Washington is the type of LB that Coach Hetherman really likes in that he has great length(pause) and is freakishly fast and athletic. The lack of natural instincts could be an issue but I would really like to see how BW takes to the new scheme and staff as Hetherman is also an excellent teacher.

As far as Hayes goes, I loved him as a high school prospect and was ecstatic when we were able to flip him. As far as the stiffness you mentioned, that is not something that I had noticed in watching his Hudl clips but I take you at your word. My point is that Hayes wouldn't be the first kid to start in college thst had issues with stiffness(pause). Same with Washington. He wouldn't be the first college starter who lacked instincts.

Samson is the guy who needs to step the f up this year. Having him, Bell, and Francis at T would be massive.

Relying on Heatherman to work miracles is a bad strategy. LB is a huge concern to me.
