[td]IMO these are all players that should be playing a good amount this year - very talented coming in - We should need the portal as much as we should, not that I'm against it but these are talented players that I don't want to see only 1 year of them maybe having a role - it seems like these players are forgotten about

Baby Jesus update - if he ain't playing this year, I would seem pretty confident he will hit the portal, I hope that staff doesn't make this mistake [/td]

Bobby tore his patella tendon in December

Why stop at those players?

What about Damari Brown? Malik Bryant? Raul Aguirre?

They’re definitely not being forgotten about, they’re just not doing a **** thing

they've been solid are already set up this year with playing time
 
First one must attempt to put the ups. If unsuccessful or unwilling, then one should shut the ups.

if Samson can’t crack the 2 deep or be in the rotation this year, I can’t imagine he’s going to stay past next spring.

Washington and Hayes won’t ever start here but I love what they brings to STs, imo
 
Hayes won’t ever start here? He’s a 2nd year kid and the highest rated LB recruit on the roster. If he can’t play a lick, then our LB recruiting is confirmed as an unmitigated disaster. Does feel like crickets on his progress. Was hoping him and Wiley were both impact guys. Impact guys generally play some meaningful minutes by year 2.

That also puts a lot of stock in questioning high school rating based on the competition they face.

Agreed. I gotta see Popo take a leap. He was starting to flash before he got hurt. Damari also has so much to prove, should be the most motivated kid on the entire team.

Idk about that. The 5* kid from Iowa that went to Bama seems to be doing well. I can’t imagine Iowa football is that much better than Massachusetts football.

Possibly, but that was the argument against Samson. His failure to deliver would be evidence that the criticism was correct and it would be cited every time a highly ranked recruit doesn't have tough competition.

To be clear, I'm not saying I agree with that argument, but I see how my response could be taken that way.

Where did That Baby Jesus update come from? As far as we Know he is the Starter . It’s Tony Johnson & Ray Ray To battle it Ou for #2. Toney won’t be given the Job either

Or maybe Samson just isn't ready yet...five star or not most lineman don't come in physically (and even mentally) ready to play. I think Francis spoiled a lot of yah bcs he was the exception to the rule and has been starting since freshman year. Everyone who's been ahead of Sampson has been older and more seasoned players AND I think folks forgot he was getting playing time his freshman year before getting hurt (which sets U back in terms of development)...most lineman don't hit their stride (physically & mentally) until Junior year...Sampson is going to be just fine

Oku/Kinsler/Mccoy (or R-Rod)/SJ (or Franco) / and I guess Minaya?

And what exactly is it that makes you so certain that Bobby Washington or Adarius Hayes will never start here?

They will all play but my money is on Toney and Johnson to get the majority of snaps.
 
You can tell very quickly from the first day of reporting if a kid wants to play.

They should be reporting in X shape if there interested in playing.

I’m not sure if they cut college players or they have to put up with them and there Xbox and them continually working the portal for more popcorn money .

Crowder former Dolphins LB stated he can tell if a player is DOODOO is minutes of meeting them , I believe he’s right.
