It's crazy they have both Gabriel and Sanders on roster. I personally like Sanders better, think he's the better true QB. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's a starter by the end of the season. I think Gabriel gets traded for a 2026 draft pick. ... Browns did very, very well this draft.

From listening to the Browns media most of this Summer post-draft, it's likely gonna be one of 2 scenarios:

1) They cut Kenny Pickett, keep Shedeur & Gabriel, while starting Flacco, until Shedeur takes his job.

Or

2) They trade Gabriel, make Shedeur QB2 & keep Pickett as insurance if anyone gets hurt as QB3, while starting Flacco until Shedeur gets ready to play.

But in both situations, the idea has never even been floated out there about Gabriel being anything more than a backup.

They kinda have no choice but to trade him, simply because if they don't, it's a wasted draft pick.

Got Jaire. If he can stay healthy, him Wiggins, Humphrey at CB with Hamilton and Starks at Safety. Tampa, Kone, Longerbeam for development depth. And getting Mike Green and Buchanan I really liked. Next year I think yall need to just keep adding to DL/Edge room and it’s looking real nice defensively.

Offensively I don’t really care for the Bateman extension tbh. Next year I’d draft WR (just not a skinny fast guy) high as Hop will need to be replaced. And gotta get another RB. Flowers, Bateman, Tez, Wester, and a big bodied WR would be pretty nice.

I’d Trade away or Cut Pickett, and keep Both Shedeur and Gabriel and I guess Flacco just for vet presence. I get you’re saying it’s a wasted pick, but to me you spent a 3rd and 5th and have good odds at getting a starting QB for a couple seasons, or a real good cheap backup. i think it’s all mostly irrelevant given they’d probably be dumb to not go Qb in 1st next yr regardless. And even then a 1st, 3rd, and 5th if it nails you a franchise qb is nothing. And unlike most teams who give that up to move up, you will get 3 QBs out of it that can compete and truly earn the job

Had to bump this. I know it's only one game and he didn't even play that well. But I think Sanders has that it factor to be a good NFL QB. Time will tell.
