Once we get past the Covid year, we might see this happen. Especially for late bloomers and those on the draft bubble.
Just went back to check Kyle Williams, who played with Ward in 2023. Looked blazing on tape, ran a 4.4 (only), so went and checked his 40 time.
Usually I take a look at the splits to determine the speed profile a receiver has. Some take time to build up speed, others hit it early.
There's no other way to put this, Kyle Williams legitimately ran a faster 20-40 split than Jamarr Chase, Malik Nabers and Xavier Worthy. A 1.77 time from 20-40 is completely absurd. Tyreek Hill ran a 1.78 at 165 coming out of college.
Now I get why Hunter couldn't run him down...
Don't know. Transferred from UNLV after his second season and I presume he looked at the roster and said "That's good enough for me".Was there a reason he never leave Washington State?
I think we’ll see more and more of this due to NIL

Of course.. I just think more will now. NIL got to many of em feeling themselves and not putting in the work. This isn't new, 5* go undrafted every single year.
They will get more notoriety now, but if you go back and look at 2017-2021, you will see bust city.Of course.. I just think more will now. NIL got to many of em feeling themselves and not putting in the work.
Mario has not signed a single Texas recruit out of high school?
Cam Ward, Elijah Arroyo, Damien Martinez all got drafted tho
Mark Pope is still at UMass, I think, so there's still a chance with him. This isn't new, 5* go undrafted every single year.
