I guess. you said recruiting AND developing skill guys. Its more on the getting elite athletes than developing IMO but your debate is validYou just argued my point.

You're right I did say and developing but one guy does not change the sentiment. I prefaced it not to take anything away form X. He is an all-time great period.I guess. you said recruiting AND developing skill guys. Its more on the getting elite athletes than developing IMO but your debate is valid
100%, this program is so far away. This season will tell us if Mario is getting elite HS kids. You're right I did say and developing but one guy does not change the sentiment. I prefaced it not to take anything away form X. He is an all-time great period.
It's one thing if it's Ahmmon Richards whose career was cut short due to injury but to have your record breaker to have just north of 2800 yards in 5 years goes a long way into showing the issue with Miami football for the past 20 years.
To further illustrate my point https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/leaders/rec-yds-player-career.html we are not in the top 250. Restrepo may rank in the 300s. It's one of the many things that show how far away we are...
Seahawks did a **** of a job this draft. I would throw a lot of trust into Pete Carrol with the Raiders. May not show up this season but after another draft with him, 2026 they should be cooking. The Raiders? uh... ya sure about that? lol. Maybe it's just cause I'm not really a Bech fan. But the thing really saving us is the trade downs to acquire two 3rds where we took two Olineman who hopefully can step up and get at least 1 starter out of them. Darien Porter is absolutely a Pete carroll type of CB. He could be a big hit. Thornton and Mellott, we'll see. I mean I like that we have some speed now. And we got a solid Wr2 in Meyers, Bech should hopefully be reliable, Thornton the deep threat, and maybe Mellott can successfully make the move. Definitely uber athletic. The two important ones will be Tonka and Pegues. Idk about both them. We needed so much on defense and only maybe get Porter as a starter. Idk. If one of the olineman hits, it's a good draft. But the best? Idk seems risky. And again I love Jeanty, the value just isn't good. I do think it just comes down to Bech, Some people really love him. If you do I can see why we'd have a very high grade....
I definitely Like the Seahawks draft a lot actually. Like I didn't care for the Mills pick much or the Ouzts Pick, but outside of that I love their draft. Zabel is going to be a lock imo. Emmanwori has all type of potential and is a good fit for mcDonald. Arroyo I think will be great. Milroe may suck, but honestly I'm perfectly happy taking the shot on him in the 3rd. Plus because he can run, he can provide a floor of value. Horton I really love and wanted him in the 3rd. Cabledue is uber athletic and a good development project. Martinez is an absolute steal. And I even like Ricky White, and he'll be min a good ST player. I think they hit a homerun. Swung on potential, but have an obvious 3 impact guys right away as well...
You would think and hope so. You will see it more throughout CFB but until it starts happening with us, I don’t think it will happen (for us). With the unpredictability of the draft now combined with the safety net of the NIL, do you all think we will see a few more cats strongly consider staying in college until the exhaust their elgibility? Especially with the money that NIL now affords.
I look at guys like Ewers who would easily have had a 6-8 million NIL for one more year. Martinez could have came back for 1 mil plus next year, right??
Once we get past the Covid year, we might see this happen. Especially for late bloomers and those on the draft bubble. With the unpredictability of the draft now combined with the safety net of the NIL, do you all think we will see a few more cats strongly consider staying in college until the exhaust their elgibility? Looks like Zach Carpenter signed with the Dolphins as UDFA
