I have a hard time understanding taking some kid at wr from Montana when X is available. Sometimes guys are just football players.

He was never projected to go that high. X does not have NFL athleticism unfortunately he just doesn't. He can blame that 40 on injuries all he wants but at best he's a 4.7 guy. When you are 5'9 4.8 WR its going to be difficult to play in the NFL. There just aren't a whole lot of players who succeed with his profile. Great college player though but he really struggled at the Senior Bowl as well, he just could not get open.

X is an all-time great and one of my favorites. The fact that he is our all-time leading receiver is exactly our problem.
We have not been recruiting or developing skill guys. Trader will hopefully be one of the first of many to break that narrative.
