False starts can't be hidden. But the ACC has a rule. holding penalties don't exist against UM d-line men.

Did ya miss the Syracuse game. Side judge threw a flag, signaled false start, and pointed to a Cuse lineman, and told the ref he saw movement. Ref said, "No you didn't." And picked up the flag. Seen a lot of shady **** in all my years watching Canes' games. Don't ever discount the flexibility of the refs to reach around and pull something out of their asses.

We're only allowing about 4 and a half yards per play, total, and that has been trending down ever since the Toledo game--in case someone tries to say that stat was padded by cupcake opponents. We actually got better when we started playing P5 teams.

supposedly the guy was seen this am with a walking boot. Most VT fans think he's a no-go for the game but I've heard of players in walking boots the week of the game and playing a bit - although perhaps not this late into the week. Either way, he hasn't practiced all week and he's not 100%. My guess is he won't go and will just give the other LT help on pass pro. It's no secret what they're gonna do - run run run and an occasional pass downfield.

Even if he does play, it's obvious by now that he won't be 100%. We should go after the LT no matter who it is out there.

Their RT supposedly isnt good in pass pro either. Everybody cant get help.
