i'm not sure the running plays are all that different ... they just look different when pringle run them
I don't think that I can agree, its not 90% A & B gap. I said it last week....Dawson was going to have a hard time looking away from the success we had getting outside the tackles after the Syracuse game.

I am not taking anything away from Pringle, he got his shot and took advantage of it. Brown had almost 6YPC with this play calling...and against that defense.

we been pulling lineman since the uf game
Yes…. But we pulled more lineman in the last game than we have in any game this season…. ****, maybe in any 2 previous games combined this season

I go back and forth between wanting the stability and vs more creativity. I’ve landed on stability. But I really hope Mario brings in a run game guru who can help Dawson improve that half of the offense.
I’m torn. I worry the longer a coordinator sticks around the more likely they are to be figured out. Bring in coordinators from the same system but with different ideas.

Yup! What’s crazy is since Shannon we’ve had a New OC every 2 years either from firing or Them leaving for another job. So as a canes fan I’m like waiting to get some new blood in there

Disagree. Football is more complicated than that and execution is the most important thing anyway. There’s always little wrinkles and things to do. Most offensives are so boringly similar to each other anyway:

Navy ran the same schemes for almost 20 years and won lots of games with inferior talent. Plenty of coaches didn’t know how to defend them even with all of the resources available.

Theoretically you can't defend perfect execution, even if you know the exact play that is coming.

Theoretically of course.

Thats fine but sometimes when you are playing at the highest level of the game, you have to have something to make the defenders, alot of whom are going to the NFL or have the ability to, take a second to check. Like bringing Toney in motion and them knowing oh he can throw it effectively. They are not gonna steam down hill as soon as they see it, now there is one or two less extra defenders keying in the RB or even Toney if he gets the hand off. And there are other instances as well. You cant invent the wheel but just line up and run the play is for teams like 2001 Miami and similar units. Also Navy offense is not the same because it has 3 or 4 options on every play and one blown assignment could be 60 yards.
