shoutout to dawson

I have a lot of questions. Pringle being the scout team RB being another one. I know it’s only 2 games but the kid looks like he sees the game and moves at a different speed than everyone else. How do you not give him snaps all season.
Maybe the light came on for him in the last month or so. People need to remember that a lot of freshmen figure it out as the season goes on….

Nonsense. Our offense is ridiculously simple. If you see someone running with that kind of pop you figure it out for him by giving him a handful of plays to run. We seem to be the only staff in the world who will keep talent off the field unless they can do everything the position requires.

whenever he puts Toney in jet-sweep motion, good things happen.

It's basically an extended zone read, if the defense shifts to him, you run the original play, if the defense leaves man to man, get him the ball.

No one will ever convince me that Shannon Dawson is the one that wants to run the same run play out of the same shotgun formation with the same rugby scrum. Its all Mario IMO. I find it extremely odd that they really have only done since they have played Pringle. All of the backs would eat with diversity in the run game, not just Pringle

The hope is Mario has learned his lesson. No matter how good you think you are keep evolving to keep teams on their toes. They got complacent. We are an undefeated team if he didn’t get complacent. This should be one of the harder lessons he can learn. This team is playoff caliber no doubt.

Maybe Mario has stepped out of the way ? & turned over the keys to Dawson 100%
Here We Go Eye Roll GIF

Good win; good game plan; good performances all around; players had fun; and we'll coached

NCST, in particular CJ Bailey, are 🗑️ (maybe just a bad game, but...); cannot overlook the two losses; Mario is still a caveman, better suited for a recruiting coordinator/CEO position; Beck is....Beck; and message to Mario...PLAY TO DOMINATE NOT JUST WIN!
Mario was hired to be a recruiting coordinator/CEO. Unfortunately he is micromanaging the Offense

Our offense is *** but at least we are starting to use our pieces and looking to scheme some things instead of just run the same old script

you guys think that Mario looks at a 4 interception game loss and he blames the OC...

which means you're retarded...

The fact that Dawson is finally doing what I’ve been telling him to do don’t mean sh/t to me. He cost us 2 games already.

I know it’s positive week but yeah, you gotta be ahead of the curve not two losses to scrubs behind it

This is arguably a top 5 offense we've had in the last 20 years

Is Dawson the best offensive coordinator in the country? No. He's solid and shows a willingness to adapt. How different would this offense look if we inserted Pringle earlier? He's what we hoped Lyle to be, but due to injury or whatever he failed to live up to those expectations.
wait was James Coley actually our offensive coordinator for 3 seasons? Oof. May have been drinking a lot back then and don't remember. Two prolly related.

It’s good to see you back, man. Just noticing your posts.

I don't know what happened or who finally got the **** out of the way but coaches getting paid millions of dollars should have figured it out a lot earlier. It's definitely nice to see the offense not making it as hard as possible to gain yards. Hopefully it's a mentality shift and not just appeasement. Please continue to do something other than hamstringing the **** out of yourself.

I've been high on dawson since the 23 a&m game. Still don't like the inside runs all the **** time remind me of lashlee with that. But lately he's been in his bag.

It looks like there's been a shift in the philosophy. Looks like the handcuffs are off the offense. Hopefully it's come in time to make the playoffs.

Slight shift in the philosophy, but also, we've finally seen what the blueprint for offensive skill players should look like recruiting wise.

Pringle starting changed that football team, because he attacks holes (pause) with good feet (big pause). They are constantly on the ground moving and allow him to have a stable base whilst running and making moves, making him harder to tackle as a result. Toney is the same exact way, just at a different position.

It's a shame that Dawson, for the second time in three years, appears to have figured out VERY LATE what works with the personnel we have and what doesn't. TVD was big time struggling in 2023 and then the reporters mentioned vs BC how Dawson came to him and asked "What can we do to help you out? What do you like?" ahead of the Louisville game... proceeded to score 31 and 45 the final two games.
