Shout out to McDonough and McElroy last night

I can’t understand how anyone could listen to that broadcast and assert that it was anything but a three hour long celebration of ND.
You tuned in already having your mind made up that they were going to be rooting for Notre Dame. Notice how many of us in here thought they were perfectly objective.

Friendly suggestion, if a team you are rooting for is playing on TV, turn the sound off. The TV crew is there to maximize the viewership of people who have no rooting interest in the game. Miami and ND fans were going to watch that game last night even if Rocky & Bullwinkle were calling the game last night.

They want to keep that viewership and will constantly remind how the team behind "has a chance" and will bring in the human interest stories (Carr and his Mom) to pull at the heartstrings. It may appear like favoritism, but they just want eyes watching.

That being said, McDonough has often given the vibe like he wants to be anywhere else. Glad to hear he was happy to be somewhere for once.
Skycast on ESPN is godsend. Should've been invented years ago.

Eh
Not sure what telecast you listened to. The whole f ing narrative on every play was what ND must do can do try to do on every play. As if Miami was just there to be an opponent.

McDonut at least half *** called out the refs…
McIlroy hates Miami imo

I’m not a fan of this crew but to each his own, I heard it much differently
I’m with you. I thought it was almost as bad as the reffing, which single handedly brought ND back and helped keep them in it for the whole second half.

These dudes were downplaying the Daniel’s catch! I was complaining to myself all night about how they wouldn’t even comment on how bad some of the calls or non calls were. At one point a ND receiver pulled a DBs (0 or 1) face mask and basically threw a punch… nothing from them or the refs.

I don’t know, maybe I’m biased…

I wish more people understood this.

Put on some music or something.

You know more than whichever team of bozos they have in the booth. You dont need to listen to them.

I watched a game on skycast the other day. It was brilliant.

Did you watch the game with sound? Or lack there of it when we made a big play?

Of course I listen w/ sound on
- And I never ever let an announcer get in the way of enjoying the game
- You should try it some time

BTW, most of the big plays for ND were when they were BEHIND
- Again, announcers want a tight game
- They even said several times, Miami was threatening to pull away
- You will never ever hear a "classic call" from an announcer during blowouts.... they want and need drama

But after spending any time on this site you can always see the following after the game
- "The refs are against us"
- "The announcers are against us"
- "The polls are against us

Surprised that due to the rain someone hasnt complained ...... "see I told you Mother Nature was against the Canes"

Take the epic win

Go Canes

Don’t know if any of you caught the replay, but the ACC network was live from Hardrock all pregame up until kickoff and very positive about us. They had their set in one of the tunnels due to the rain.

McElroy was a guest on their show and was very nonbiased and complimentary toward us. Most of what he had to say was right on the money.

It was better than the Big Noon Kickoff announcers. Those guys were begging for Manning to complete a pass so they could go down and blow him on the sideline.

So you admit he was biased, you just claim it was due to ND being behind the entire game. I can't argue towards his motives, but he clearly didn't call the game "evenhanded". And sorry the refs missed a lot of calls on ND that they didn't seem to have an issue spotting for us. I assume you believe Terry Porter had no impact on that game either? Burrying your head in the sand to be "virtuous" is one way to go, I just don't choice that path.
