Should we move James Williams to LB?

He needs to add some size. If he puts on 20-25LBs and hits the weight room his physicality will improve. It's probably to late to make the switch now but the staff should definitely consider it going into 2023 and give him an entire off-season to develop.

STOP REPEATING YOUR HORRENDOUS IDEAS.

He needs to work on his eye discipline. He was out of position a few times during the game. Hopefully they haven’t put too much on his plate.

Was thinking he'd be a good match up for that 6'7" wr FSU has from Arizona.
Could be in some scenarios, like RZ. I think that may Tyrique's dude. Would be surprised if #2 doesn't follow him around.

given our deficiencies in the WR room, i have heard he might be moved to WR for USM. he has 1 week to learn the playbook.

I keep seeing this argument, but is there any proof that his size is impeding his play at safety. If that is the case, then he should move. Otherwise, let him be a safety. You don't change a player's position simply because he doesn't fit a prototypical body type of other players at his position. Plus, from everything i have read and heard, he wouldn't be receptive to the move

I've posted pictures of his family previously. It would be INSANE to try to force this kid to gain weight. People just need to let him play and stop trying to be PlayStation All-American corches.
They have never look at the kid. They see 6'5, yup LB/DE. He plays like a DB, has the instincts and he is not stiff. People expect Sean Taylor when he is a true SO at the start of the season.

We’re gonna blitz him and match him up with TEs regardless. He did as much on Saturday. At one point, he was lined up 1 on 1 with their big, athletic TE who was split out wide. Might as well not worry about Williams’ position. He’ll be used all over in subpackages, it seems. Curious to see him in Robber coverages.
So when we play Georgia in the playoffs, he’s covering Washington 🤔
