This was mostly officiating… An absolute robbery…Phantom hold on Mauigao AND pick up the flag for PI on the same ph cucking play? What was that? I’m sure we will be hearing an apology from the ACC there. And the call on Lightfoot when he clearly tried to grab Jennings to hold him up is just as bad.
And of course all the legit enalties ( which is coaching and although we are a top 10 team, we are not good enough to overcome that)
And then you mix in Mario at the end…(More coaching). There is a lot that CMC is doing building this program that I love and respect tot he tallest and yes it was only a small part of why we lost, the above ^^ items were more important. But it is ******* malpractice and going out of your way to not attempt to win that at the end of regulation. Between this and the FG at Cuse with Ward at the helm last year…Both with playoff birth on the line. I don’t know how this man sleeps at night. And the wild part is he is no clue that he is wrong, he is mentally flawed. Then as I said in the other thread…I guarantee you he pulled the plug on Lashlee in overtime. Guarantee it, it’s all he knows when the game is on the line, run the ball and don’t make a mistake.
I have more leeway and tolerance and probably more respect for old coach, conservative coaches than most people in today’s high octane football climate…I get it. I love coaches that still know when to punt, and know when to stick to the run. But what I saw with :25 and a timeout and kneeling to get to OT is pure malpractice. It’s not 15 secs left…It’s not :25 and no timeouts (I probably still take a shot with no timeouts). It’s not on. your own 10. 25 yard line, :25 secs left…Easy decision, you try to win the game.
I handle losses a lot better nowadays. Not handling this one well. A. We got royally ****ed. B. You can’t not try to win, and that’s what CMC did.
