According to Shodell from CaneSport, Shirreffs loved his visit but didn't get his offer. Shirreffs said he isn't sure if there is one forthcoming. I hope this staff knows what it is doing here. I have to believe they made an arrangement with him about a potential offer and he is purposefully being vague. I believe this kind is a find an will be very competitive in our system. I don't feel Gibson's interests in us is legit and I hope we do lose a chance at building quality depth at QB by playing games with Gibson.

THIS^^ we have all the leverage he needs us more than we need him... And I know we lack depth at QB
 
You guys forget UM reached out to him. He isn't desperate for an offer because he was okay with an education first football second approach (that is more of a concern than his talent). There are quality QB's who were shunned by FBS teams and went to the Ivies and ended up in the NFL. Garrrett, Fitzpatrick and Fielder all went to the Ivies and carved out careers as NFL QB's. There are even more FCS kids who made it Romo. Lets not act like you got to go to an FBS school to be a QB. How are the Alabama and LSU QB's doing?

He brother went through the same process and was snatched up by NCST at the last minute. With Miami showing interests and shunning him, a team like Duke, NC, BC or other quality education schools can come in late and snatch him. Once again, I believe Gibson is trolling us because his preferred choice played him. We were not a fit before and he wasn't willing to switch. Nothing has changed. At this point, man up and ask him to play WR or pass on him.
 
I actually liked his tape. We need camp arms if nothing else. Take him if you miss on Gibson and Jackson. If it doesn't work out he will transfer. End of story.
