Sounds like a setup? Might be the dumbest thing i've read today.....and that's saying something.Hate to say it but dude sounds like he was setup - as already stated by a poster.
This college football stuff has become big business and they’re used to keeping all the $$$. Now that they’re not keeping it all - anyway they can avoid paying buyouts and/or keep underperforming coaches on staff, they will do it.
Brian Kelly has been available and imo the guy to call. DeBoer is wise to get outta Bama when there’s a really good job available like Michigan before Bama gets rid of him after 3 seasons of no natty.
Moore out at Michigan
DeBoer to Michigan
Lanning to Bama (terrible decision because Oregon doesn’t have a win a natty in 4 yrs and ur out situation. Just win 10 annually and get in playoff and ur good and PK will continue cutting checks)
Kelly to Oregon
This.If he just apologized and took responsibility, he would have been coaching again within a few years as an analyst or position coach.
Now, he’ll be lucky to coach high school football.
Exactly!This.
Things happen at work. I'm sure many on this board have either found ourselves in a similar situation (not a direct report - that shouldn't happen) or had the opportunity at some point in time and declined. It's not uncommon to form connections with women you spend a lot of time with at work and get along with, especially if you share common interests that you might not with your wife/GF.
If this was a one-time thing.....which if NOT, i'm sure we'll start to hear about others coming forward.....but if a one-time thing, he could have simply come forward, apologized, explained himself, and moved on. We've seen it before in sports. Fans (and colleges) tend to have short-term memories if you win. The way this guy spiraled though....that makes him radioactive. It's puts the bullseye directly on him now and foreseeable future.
Actually, it was more in the form of a slowly developing trainwreck happening over about 18 months. It only ended in a matter of minutes/hours due to his lack of self-control going into maximum overdrive. But it began when the dip**** decided to have that mid-level poonanny just because it was easy and accessible and then began a months-long escalating series of insane behavior.life completely ruined in a matter of minutes/hours.

How long they knew he was spiraling?!?
Warde is a large black man from New Orleans. I’m sure he felt he could handle the situation.
But, now Sherrone’s medical history is being revealed? Sherrone may get some money on the way out. He’ll need it.
So who’s taking the Alabama job? And why is Alabama’s offense so one dimensional this year? They averaged 175 yards rushing a game last year with the same coaches and same plays. Not true. Bama was blown out by UGA and FSU. It's too much to ask by the Bama fanbase to be competitive in every game? Bama had -3 rushing yards against UGA. Should a proud fanbase that pays their coaches top dollar accept that? I have to ask these questions b/c now I'm wondering about your football knowledge.
not really, the commencement of the ruination started years ago, it just came to the surface yesterdaylife completely ruined in a matter of minutes/hours.
