Shelton Henderson will return to Miami for next season

Sources have confirmed with CanesInSight that upcoming sophomore Shelton Henderson will be returning back to Miami for the 2026-27 season.



During the 2025-26 season, Shelton finished the year with 13.7 points per game, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He also shot 55.9 percent form the floor, and shot 26 percent form behind the arc.

Huge news coming out of Miami as the Hurricanes gets one of the best freshman in the country staying for another year.

Personally I would love for him to work on his post game too. The few times he posted up this season, the size difference was notable. He can be a nightmare for skinnier forwards trying to guard him in the post.
