Shavar Manuel's size?

Does anyone know Shavar Manuel's true size? On espn it states him as 6'4 280, however his Hudl account has him at 6'3 230.

230 is insanely off! 247 has him at 290 so I'd call it 285. He is very similar in size to Robert Nkemdiche...also similar in that he will play DE early and slide inside probably by his 2nd season as well. Unless FSU keeps him at DE like Mario Edwards Jr, which was just idiotic IMO.

Edwards is playing DE for the Raiders now....

FSU plays a lot of 3-4/3-2-6 looks so they use a big DE. Manuel would play same as Edwards, they need a guy that can 2 gap there. Edwards couldn't keep his weight in check though. He was good at 275.

Edwards replacement D. Walker is listed at 280

These recruiting services often get the size of the recruits wrong. It's only when they are tested and weighed at camp do they get it right.

Moreover, there is no way this kid is 290 or 280, that would make him JJ Watt or Leonard Willams size. Compare Shaver's pictures with those two and he doesn't match up. He looks more like Byron Cowart size, which he weighed in the 250's.

I know he does but wasn't he like 297 at FSU? Would've been a great 3-tech IMO bc him and Goldman would've both been inside...you couldn't block both. They also would've been more athletic at 3-tech and DE. JMO.

If Shavar is smaller than I thought and around 250 then he will stay at DE. He's perfect for any scheme, man I wish we were getting him.
