Every summer Oakleaf HS participates in a team contact football camp. Shaq's freshmen and sophomore year they went to the camp at UCF. Last year and again this year the camp will be at Jacksonville University (JU). Well last weekend the JU Camp was odd because 1 team was a no show, so the camp contacted Oakleaf to fill in for 1 day. I know it doesn't account for much when someone braggs on their own kid.. but I have to, because he was so dominant... When he went up against Booker T as a freshmen.. I realized that he was a lot better than I thought... Now playing against his peers... He is a game changer... Aundre Kearny's Team was at the camp also... he is good also.. very aggressive and talked a hold lot of noise (while backing it up) ... He was physical and going after it, on every snap.. I tried my best to measure the two without bias eyes, but IMO Shaq was surely the most dominant... As a matter of fact one spectatur I was talking to said that Shaq was the most dominant player on campus... JU players included. I pray he stays safe and continue to get better... and carry it over to the next level.... Go Canes.

p.s. The do part 2 of the JU Camp from 9 - 11 July I will post. He is also geared up with Next Generation monitors.. to track heart rate levels, impact, and speed. He will be the first H.S player to test this equipment. Shaq and Rico.webp

Keep us posted. Most of us can't think of anything positive to write, so you writing about Shaq is always a breath of fresh air. Don't worry about bragging on your kid. We are drooling over him.

IIRC, DJ Williams wore #17 . What will Shaq's college jersey at the U be?

He and Zach both want 2. He wants after he met Jon Beason this summer... probally his favorite Cane... And Zach wants it and has switched to number 2 at his high school this year... They have talked about it... maybe they will fShaq and John.webplip for it if its available

Well it'll be available since S Deon Bush will be graduating. Yearby has #2 as well but he's on offense so it doesn't matter

Kearny looks like those small, fast LB's of Canes past. Love those players who have that dogg in them. (Can't help it!) If we can get Dorito to just get out of the way and turn the doggs loose!
