I didn't think he would get drafted so I'm glad I'm wrong on that one... Secondly I didn't think that if he did get drafted he would go before Garvin so I'm glad I'm wrong there too.... One thing with Shaq is he gives his all and that's a major plus... Good luck to him , hope he has a great career..

Steal in 4th round. Imagine if he had real defensive coaching here. We’re going to have multiple late round /undrafted guys makes nfl rosters and surprise again.

Buddy, we do have coaching. It isn't THAT bad.

Shaq ran a 4.7 and might not be available for 3rd downs. That was a great spot for him to be drafted and he's going home.

Stupid post. How am I not happy for him? Our coaching and development sucks. It has for years.

Stop drumming up drama when you can’t even get the premise of what I said correct.

Wait what? The d was extremely good during his career here. If he was a better tackler and took better angles he’s definitely a day 2 pick.

Stop. The defense was good against terrible to mediocre offenses. The coaching and game planning for the most part was mediocre. No way.

Whose coaching him to take better angles? Why didn’t he improve? He was a steal in the 4th round.

Calling him a steal is called a compliment. It means he should have gone higher imho. And the reason he did not go higher was because of crAp linebacker coaching and scheming. He was already making plays starting as a true freshman here before the crap coaching could kick in and he would stagnate. Our defense was not good and the numbers were inflated against terrible offenses.

Just stop. He will thrive in the NFL. He has more ability and productivity in him than he showed here. If he gets better coaching he will be a starter and very good there.

So Garvin would be a higher pick with better coaching right even though Greg Ross would be a first round pick right now with the same exact coaching staff and scheme?

Shaq is an athletically limited LB who struggles in pass coverage

If this were 2003 he would be a 2nd round pick but guess what NFL is a pass happy league and drafting a Shaq these days isn’t winning you a draft.

All time PAC 12 leader in tackles just went 6th round, let me guess with better coaching and scheme he goes 2nd/3rd round?
