Shaq Update

Wow he's 6'2????? He doesn't look that tall. Kid is a monster. Golden would've had him playing at 265

Sounds like he hit a growth spurt. Not that uncommon for kids his age. Great for him/us.

If Golden was here hed be a 265lb DE by year 2

I actually dont think Golden would have fattened him. But I think he would have had Shaq walking around looking like a bodybuilder. Just a huge, muscle bound LB. Instead of having good lean muscle. Shaq would have been too stiff under Golden.

Shaq Daddy's post and the growth he just reported for Shaq make you really think about the fact that a handful of these kids are young and sometimes still growing in height and their bodies maturing. The amazing thing is that the 3 freshman linebackers are all still 18. Many of the enrollees and commits are already 19 and a couple close to 20. That is a big difference. In last years class, Gordinier was the youngest by a lot. He is still only 18 and doesn't turn 19 until the season. More than 3/4 of the new class are older than him. That is great....Gordinier, Shaq, Pinckney and McCloud are all still growing and filling out in some cases.

I believe this young man has a very bright future. The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital.

Did we redshirt Gordinier?

Yes

He's the most put together LB coming in since DJ Williams - and he turned out pretty well....
