I haven't been following recruiting closely at all this season and am not sure what happened with him, why are so many stating that he's going to be going to Auburn?

I realize our coaching situation is an issue, but I always thought on Quarterman as a recruit that would stick regardless of the coach.

His pops stopped posting because he felt the fan base was too negative. He sated very clearly that his son and all the recruits knew Golden had to answer the critics. But he was tired of every single thread becoming a ***** session about the coaches... He also said his son was committed to Miami as a program, not to Golden. So maybe he de-commits. But I think it will depend upon our record and who the coach is come November.

This what I felt too but I have seen numerous posters say he's gone. I realize that could be because of the negativity surrounding the program, I was asking if there was credible evidence that he was leaning toward leaving.
 
Shaq will wait to see who the new coach will be, assuming there is one, before deciding if he flips somewhere else.

This was a convenient exit strategy once the buyout for shaqs commitment had been negotiated. By using the same excuse to leave the site that seemingly countless people say they are going to use before they start their next thread, he was able to avoid tipping his hand.

He gone.
 
I know Auburn has a better DC than we do, but we've put a heck of a lot more guys in the pro's than Auburn ever thought about..

That and Muschamp isn't going to be there long IMO, and the defense is still not very good at Auburn.

The posters here will do anything to bring the program down to their level. When you're chasing off parents of your top recruits you know you're a piece of **** fanbase.

The posters here will do anything to bring the program down to their level. When you're chasing off parents of your top recruits you know you're a piece of **** fanbase.

The losses and incompetence is chasing away recruits way more than the fanbase.

Have you watched the on field product and scheme? You're smoking crack if you think it's the fans running kids off
 
With play of the team, defensive f-Ups, record against decent team/ranked teams, recruiting ***** ups, decommits etc. Where does one find any positivity to state about Al or the state of the program!!! Dude being ranked #25 is bad and we aint sniffing breaking into the rankings. Gimme something positive and I'll be positive, but we know the chances a damned good there will be an avalanche of decommits before NSD!

If its AUB that the rumors are saying he is interested in...I am not worried one bit. They look as average as we do.

Now ALA is what worries me. He would be a superstar in that scheme and I read Saban is after him hard.

But I think he is solid. I dont blame his pops for leaving the site. Sometimes people forget that his pops is a UM fan. And he probably didnt want Shaq reading all that negative crap from the fanbase he is committed to. It got brutal around here for a minute there. (and the best could be yet to come if we lose to Clemson and Duke)

His dad posted a while back saying that he would make his visits to Auburn and Bama as back up plans, because it was the smart thing to do. I personally think Shaq ends up a Cane and is just doing his due diligence. I would assume something would have to go terribly wrong for him not to go to UM (i.e. firing Golden and then hiring someone just as bad instead of Butch or another competent coach).
