i for one, will miss their leadership, commitment, professionalisms, elite skill sets and most of all the men that they are. we couldn’t have asked for any more from these two fine young men. may they be blessed with long and healthy careers. the nfl is going to LOVE these two... 🙌

It's astonishing that people actually watched this game, care enough to post clips from it, or think it's going to make a difference one way or another on their careers or where they get drafted.

Lol if you think scouts give 0 fcks about this game.
Maybe, but I doubt it's changing anyone's spot by more than 1 round tops. They care about the combine. There's plenty of game action on tape after 4 years they've seen already. My point was more so that random people on here actually give ***** about that game though. I can't fathom being that bored and having that little to do in life to actually spend 4 seconds on it.

You've spent more than 4 seconds in this thread tho?

I wish nothing but the best for these kids , was nothing but class acts , never got in any trouble , leaders on and off the field, came back for their senior year and went 3-1 against FSU in their career here, I really think Shaq will be a steal for any team he goes to and if they do well in the nfl that does nothing but helps Miami with recruiting, can’t believe you guys talking **** about these dudes

Quarterman was all-conference all four years and two consecutive years as a first teamer. Pinckney was second team all-conference this year. As you stated above is all true. Whatever their limitations were athletically, they made up for it on and off the field and positively represented their team and school. There is a real pathology with some of our fanbase.

I hate seeing college players who appear to be doing the best they can be disparaged. These guys started a lot of games for the Canes. They had some incredible moments. But in college you are forever tied to your class's output.

You learn quickly from team leaders ahead of you that your legacy will be cemented by wins and losses - the upsets you pulled off and the ones you were on the wrong side of - did you fall short or surpass the team's potential? Most approach their senior season with a lot of intensity and expectation.

Look at it like a test; How your group of seniors, the survivors if you will, did the things needed to go out strong. It's leadership, buy-in, focus, discipline, policing the underclassman, playing for your brothers - guys you've seen the best and worst of intimately. Its why you hear teams have Senior Only meetings.

Fans like to forget about the sub-par teams. But this season, and unfortunately for these seniors, this class will be remembered for three of the worst loses in Program history (Coaching was subpar - but onfield leadership and execution should have dominated those teams). Maybe we just witnessed rock bottom. Either way this is a sub-par season that will be referenced a lot in coming years.
