Per Christy Chirinos,
An injury update: Mark Richt says Jaquan Johnson is closer to coming back and he expects Shaq Quarterman will be "okay."
I’m not calling Richt a liar or anything buuuut...

Wasn't too worried about Jaquan given that he was a game-time decision for UNC, so I figured with 9 days rest he'd be good for FSU.

Shaq was whom I was worried about, but glad to see him ready to go. At least our defense will be healthy sans Rousseau.

We really need Shack and Jaquan anchoring the middle of the defense. AR, I did not expect to play...even if Richards has been able to play, he would not be able to contribute much after missing four games and not practicing for a month.

JJ has his helmet on and everything last Thursday so I’m assuming he could have played if needed but clearly wasn’t. Richt playing games with FSU on this one.

It would take a pack of wild dogs to keep JJ out of the FSU game.

This..I don't see the coaches being able to hold JJ back from this one. Senior year..biggest rival..at home in front of family? Unless this is some serious injury that will actually hurt us more then help..JJ will be out there.

Assuming Mike Smith is ok since he wasn’t mentioned in the injury update. Jaquan was ready to go Thursday if they needed him but fortunately he didn’t play and the extra week plus only helped. Hearing Shaq is most likely good to go is great news.

Only guys I would assume that are out is everyone that has had significant injuries in previous weeks. Richards will probably redshirt.

They said on the telecast JJ was ready in pregame warm ups but was a coaches decision to not chance him aggravating it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I do believe the announcers talked about it and said that he did participate in the pre-game warmups as he thought he was ready to go, but afterwards they decided he wasn't ready.

JJ is probably (an argument could be made for Willis) our most important defensive player because we tend to look disorganized without him. Getting him back for this game will be huge.

I know this is off topic but that Joyner kid how's he doing.kids built like a brick **** house.wonder why he's not playing some.

If Mike hade a concussion but wasn’t listed then he was probably kept out for precautionary measures.

Announcers don't know squat. :stupid: He'll be ready. LETS GO CANES!
