Shannon

If you are saying Cincy is mid major, they're not. Do you mean how many non-power 5 schools?

Mid major is basically just FCS schools.

How many, if any, mid-majors did we lose to under Radio?

Shannon was a QB away from winning. Not saying he would have won titles but he would have been a 10 or 11 win coach. For the most part Shannon losses came at the hands of Jacory.

Golden on the other hand has a great QB and still manages to lose with a lot of talent

Yeah, mid-major and non-power 5 were synonymous in my mind.

Shannon lost to USF, and was fired. Did he lose to any other similarly mediocre irrelevant conference teams?

that's a **** of a cop out. shannon was dog sh*t and there's a reason he will never have another head coaching gig in his career. i don't blame jacory. that's failing to acknowlege that harris had a new offensive coordinator almost every year he was here. name me one college qb that has had a successfful career given that circumstance.

Argue all you want but losing to Cincy is embarrassing. I consider it one of the worst losses of Golden's career at the U. Pathetic preparation & result.

The most regular season losses Shannon had was 5 and you can say two to 3 of those losses came at the hands of Jacory. If Randy had a QB he wins 10 games.

With Golden it has become clear that probably no player can save him. With Shannon a good QB and he squeezes out a few more wins. Not only is Golden losing he is getting beat by double digits to very weak teams

wrong. he had a 7 loss season his first year and had at least 4 losses every year he was here. what are you smoking? he was terrible. ok shannon is a little less sh*ttier of a coach than golden. Who cares? he was god awful and once again no on is willing to give him another shot at HC. the same fate golden will have once he's canned

Shannon was the better coach, he didn't get half of the support Golden got. The admin forced Whipple on him. He was on the hot seat the day after he was hired. He never lost to Duke, he beat FSU. Put up one **** of a fight at Florida with a Freshman QB in 2008. Jacory lost him at least 3 games a year. He was fired after he lost to USF in OT. Golden lost to Cincy by 11 and he still has a job.

Plus he's UM through and through. Yet still he was hounded out while some here cry for El Foldo

to finish the topic:

"Shannon..." was a better coach than our current one, still a potato, lost 45-17 to FSU, and was fired at the end of that year. That's all one needs to know about FSU week this year. Short-sighted potatoes gon potato.

Shannon at least could admit that his coordinator (Nix) was garbage and got rid of him. Whipple was a nice hire. Golden has hired nobody worth a crap.

Here is the biggest difference between the two. Shannon was poor at all areas of coaching. Golden is decent to good at everything other than the game. The program is in better shape right now, and if they hire the right coach we have a good chance to get back to the top 10.

You're crazy. The team is in worse shape than it was in 2011. Dude you realize all the NFL players Goldrn inherited? 4 NFL backs and about 6 NFL wideouts, 3 NFL tight ends, countless olinemen. We don't have half those numbers.
