The Bama screamer and Moffit gets all the hype, but Turley is the best in the business. He's a guy I wish we were able to poach. He's way ahead of the curve with his training methods/techniques (focuses on functional strength and flexibility.

Would be an A+ hire.

He's one of Pat Ivey's protégé.. Why not just get Ivey?

Not gonna lie. Am relieved Shannon turned out to be a dude- if not for anything but the discourse that'd follow here if he wasn't. Nonetheless, if we're finally judging a S&C coach by his team's performance on the field (and specifically in the trenches in this case) then you could do a lot worse than getting the guy at Stanford.

No supplements just water and eating right, hmmmm. Sounds like he is not a fan of muscle milk.

I think Turley is by far the best in the business, and I think you'll see his methods used at more and more universities and in the professional ranks, sooner rather than later. Flexibility and functional strength are key differentiaters in both football and basketball

Thing is Turley credits his mentor from VaTech with his success more than Dr. Pat Ivey. Turley was a graduate assistant at Missouri from 2001-02 and assistant director from 2003-05.

I am more of the mind set to hire Turley , whom is also well respected by many in NFL which will go over well with the former players that come back to workout.

Go Canes

He spent one year ar Va Tech, Paranos. I can't imagine that he really learned anything there as compared to Missouri.

Guy is def. one of the best in the business. Only thing allowing them to run those systems they run offensively and defensively.

geographically, they arent in an area to get the talent for the scheme they run.

but the development there is top notch.

Def has a lot to do with the S&C program.

I'm not going to say there's a "best" strength coach in the field because everyone has different circumstances and wins and losses is a terrible measure of competency for that position but this is probably the best suggestion I've seen. I can't imagine he'd leave but Turley would be a **** of a hire.

Good call OP

Turley would be an A+ hire. His methods are ahead of the curve. Anyone can run players into the ground, until they puke or quit. Especially in South Florida weather. Any meathead can boost their lifting numbers.

Miami's needs a S&C program to training players to become better overall athletes. The coaches then turn them into better players.
