Shane Beamer

tougher for whom? We dont recruit those areas though...

Locksley is tryna lock down the dmv as well as uva being on the uptick recruiting
Not necessarily true. We’ve gone to those areas before. Finding a kid like Thomas Davis Or Deejay is going to get harder with the influx of actual coaching talent being infused in those areas. I’m actually not high on Locksley. Sure he’s done a really good job locally but they got some talent and still look like ****.

Oh hes not a good coach...but he can recruit. (locksley)

Yea i would rather put more focus on Houston and Dallas than east ga and DMV. If im in Ga im mostly looking at Metro Atl...and i'd go as far as Valdosta if they are cooking. NYC/NJ are our up north recruiting areas over the DMV.

He has ties to USC, coached under spurrier when they had them 11 win season early in the 2010s, Those teams were real af.. Only reason I know because that was my online team on NCAA.. Check that roster, it was a fun team to play with but ended up being LOADED with DUDES looking back at it now.. He helped recruit alot of them boys too..

Stephon Gilmore, Connor Shaw, Lattimore, Alshon, Swearinger, Devin Ingram, Devin Taylor, Holloman, Ace Sanders, had Clowney coming off the bench, Oooowwweee you didnt want to catch that work online..

I guess they trying to catch lightning in a bottle twice, with him selling them on having Oklahoma type offense (on some Enos type ****), they probably fell for okie doke beamer ball, oklahoma offense, recruit like its 2009, cut me my guaranteed check, holla

I think that’s the idea. Really hit TX/NO and the metro NJ/NY area hard outside of SFL. We’ve always had success in the northeast and we got a ton on TX/NO connects on staff.

Thats the crazy part. They have a ton of TX/NO connects on staff with Baker,Patke and even manny coaching in TX.

The NYC/NJ connection with Zuckerman has paid some dividends.

Ive been banging it for the longest but we need SOMETHING in the Tidewater area. I remember i tried to get the coaches to recruit Dazz Newsome as i have some connections in that area...i dont think they looked...and he has been a real good player for UNC.

New Orleans was there for the take this year. LSU loaded up out of state. Ed Reed needs to see whats cooking down there again..New Orleans kids love Miami

I have to build those connections. History has shown here that even though SFL is the priority and always will be we reached our highest levels when we’re stealing and developing middle of the road guys from this area and grabbing the occasional stud. I don’t think we’ve won with a majority SFL team since Schnelly.

HC Karl Dorrell has Colorado 4-0
HC Jimmy Lake has Washington 3-1
HC Jay Norvell has Nevada 7-1
HC David Shaw has Stanford 2-2
I knew the answer to the question. I was trying to prove a point.

this man not being the head coach at VT is mind boggling he would a legend! With all his experience he could bring something special to that program

And most of those coaches had to be legit coordinators before they even got interviewed for jobs. Beamer has NEVER been a playcaller a day in his life. This is the Eric Bieniemy situation, but at the college level. Name a black coach that could have a resume as weak as Beamer and get a job like this. Yes, Beamer can recruit, but he hasn't shown anything indicating that he's a top end assistant, he's been able to ride being a "Recruiter" for years.

South Carolina has incompetent leadership, period. Out of all the guys you could have hired from the Spurrier era, you hired arguably the weakest guy out there. No one in their right mind was looking at Beamer as a SEC HC. There's experienced, solid guys like Bill Clark out there, there's Josh Heupel, there's a multitude of guys out there that are actual head coaches, or at the least top end assistants. Beamer isn't that.

Obviously back up the Brinks for T-Rob, make that **** happen.

While we're at it, since we are about to be in free agency, kick the tires on their young DL Burch, Pickens, Hemingway.

SCAR also had to empty the wallet to fire Muschamp and found someone that is a bit cheaper but that they can take a chance on instead of hiring another P5 coach that was fired for not being good enough. Not to mention, it leaves them more money for him to hire an elite staff which they hope he can assemble through all the connections he has.
