Will this women be leaving the school anytime soon? She is a liberal political academic. she belongs at a state school, not a for profit private institution

Don't hold your breathe or get your hopes up. School is top academic school and endowment is growing. She is safe and happy

She has a huge ego. If she cared about this football program 1/10 as much she cared about the medical school, then we 'd carry Shalala off the field akin to Rudy. Not bashing her priorities, but her legacy--which she cares tremendously about--hinges upon leaving this university with an Emory caliber medical school. She is not going anywhere, unfortunately. I hate her.

If recall correctly, it was not President Shalala that torn down the OB, RIP it was the city of Miami that did not want to renovate or pay for the upkeep.

you do recall correctly, however she did nothing to save it. Even worse, did nothing to even inquire about a new stadium for us.instead moving us to the worst venue in america

Uh, I absolutely frown upon people who think like that. People who care more about UM football than UM's academic stature are ignored in real life. Donna Shalala is one of the best presidents in the country. No one in the UM administration owes you anything just because you want to "rep da U".
