I'll never understand people overreacting to everything in the moment. If I told you when Richt first came on we'd be a 10 win team in year 2 of Richt with Rosier as our starting QB, not getting one of our games in against a sure win (We should have 11 wins), and Walton, Richards, and Herndon out, you'd all be jerking yourselves dry. Instead people are losing their minds.

That loss sucked. Keep in mind we have 1 of 3 options at QB next year. Rosier, a redshirt freshman in Perry, or a true freshman in Williams. Additionally, there is a good chance a true freshman starts at rb in Lingard at some point in the season. This is not to make an excuse, but I can already see people expecting a freshman to go undefeated and flipping out if he doesn't.

RELAX. Be Reasonable. Enjoy the ride. If we are in year 4 and we still don't have a qb and start to fall below double digit wins again, by all means, freak out. Until then get your panties straight and start focusing on the remaining recruits.

The sad part is every redshirt Freshman / third stringer QBs look great against us but we think we need a Senior QB before we can win the ACC

right he inherited a mess but the days of me blindly supporting a coach are over. i will give this staff time but after next year, no excuses. 2018 has been my time frame all along.

This is more in line with where I think people need to be. It's not that you have to blindly support a new staff, or as caneworld states above that you need a senior QB, but just be reasonable about factors that influence the season. If we are 2 years down the road and we have say a 9 win season next year and a 11 win season the following year, but still don't win the ACC over Clemson, are we really wanting to fire him or should we be happy to be in the discussion on a regular basis?

This is what I'm talking about people getting into their feelings in the moment. This statement is a stretch at best. 4 QBs had good games against us. Virginia, Toledo, Clemson, and Wisconsin. 2 of those are top 10 teams.

Virginia - SR
Toledo - SR
Clemson - JR
Wisconsin - SO - this one stings, because this guy isn't special, but I don't think he's nearly as garbage as he looked in the Ohio St game.

The Pitt Freshman is the only young one and he had less than 200 yards, but they ran all over us and controlled the clock.

I’ve been on this ******* **** ride dreaming of our glory days for the last 15 years, what’s another couple.

Most of us knew, or should have known, we were smoke and mirrors good this season.

Winning at the level we did with #12 as the starting QB accomplished everything we realistically expected. We won 10 games and were Coastal champs for the 1st time, ever.

Orange Bowl loss sucks, but I think being without Herndon, Richards, and D-Jack was more significant than folks want to believe. And if anybody doesn’t understand Mark Walton was the leader and best player on the team, we’ll agree to disagree. Yeah, we didn’t have him for most of the season. But against Clemson and Wisconsin, not having the Alpha for the offense was a problem.

Hopefully, Perry is the real deal next season. Would love to keep Rosier and Weldon as the back-ups, and let Williams redshirt. Upgrading th QB position takes this team to the next level. Might not be playoff bound, but a legit top 10 finish next year means we’re trending the right direction.
