We've seen and heard bits and pieces on most of our players trickle out since Spring. We see photographs of bodies completely re-sculpted - some of which - Michelangelo would have sculpted.

We get feeds, articles, and even speculations on N'Kosi and Martell. We saw a bit of N'Kosi last season, and we have a little bit of film on Martell.

Can ANYONE provide any opinion, speculations or even WAGs on Williams? (WAG - Wild-Assed -Guess)

One troublesome narrative - was that even while Richt was here - and Richt said it - that Williams was very talented - and was completing passes even to the opposite side of the field - but didn't know the playbook - and thus missed the primary receiver.

I found that very troubling - as most anyone knows that in warfare or football - the PLAN often turns to pure doo-doo when the first shot is fired, or the ball has been hiked.

One such as myself - would think, "well, it really doesn't matter much if he missed his primary receiver - and is hitting the second or third - because he's making plays!

Anything - ANYTHING on Williams? I find him very interesting - but not much on him?

Didnt look good in the final spring game but there was a ton of walk ons playing and it was spring format.

Agree with you, OP, that there hasn't been much chatter about him. Or, put the other way, I've heard much more about Kosi and Tate than Jarren. But who knows what that means. I don't have the first clue who will ultimately win the QB competition.

I have been talking about him today in the other QB thread. I am high on Williams. According to one of our defensive players, he has looked very good in 7 on 7 workouts, but obviously you can't put too much weight in 7 on 7 workouts, the same way you can't put any weight into the a couple of plays during the spring game.

I believe that anyone who is discounting him from being a factor in this QB battle, is making a huge mistake.

My honest guess from all that we’ve heard and where he was in the final spring game... he’s about to transfer.

The reason I say this is he was running third string, had a bad game on top of that, and it was the last action of the spring. Since then, manny has went on to say they would know very soon in fall camp who the starter will be. I think they know who it is based of spring and summer work/progress and just want to confirm it with some pads on. My guess is Nkosi. Tate was too far behind in the spring even though he had a good spring game... unless he just completely took the reigns of the team over the summer. I just feel like from day 1 Kosi has the best body of work since Enos got here and was most consistent and we’ve heard good things about him this summer as far as staying out of trouble, players praising his new mind set, and his work ethic. That’s all he lacked.

I caught a glimpse of him recently during the lifting PR push. But aside from that, I to have wondered why he's been MIA. Maybe working hard and keeping his head down (hopefully).

Anybody who is counting out any of our scholarship QBs is either running a D Rev Lee Tate Fanboy Clone Account or is jumping the gun....

Have read or heard absolutely nothing to convince me that any of our big 3 QBs (NKosi, JW and Tate) are running away with or falling deeply behind in the quarterback competition....Don't count any of these guys in...and don't count any of them out....Truly a nice problem to have....

I doubt Kosi is the starter. I can see Williams transferring. JW showed his card and Manny knows it. Kosi has great physical skills. But not a leader of elite men. Manny is assembling special elite forces on both sides and needs a Captain who can lead the charge. Takeover. Be the guy. Enos may lean Kosi but I think Manny is all in with Tate.

Kosi is a leader. The way he is talked about and looked up to by his younger high school teammates and the way that he is respected in the lockeroom shows he can lead. He might be a knuckle head and he has made mistakes but dont infer from that that he isnt a leader because thats just wrong.

Regarding the bolded point, that seemed to have been an issue that Richt had with all of our quarterbacks (most notably Rosier) that stunted their growth and productivity. I forget where it was mentioned, but Rosier was able to do the same thing, but Richt would get ****ed because he didn't throw it to who he was "supposed" to throw it to. I'm assuming it caused the QBs to start overthinking things and making mistakes and throwing inaccurate passes.

Had they been allowed to throw where they were comfortable, we may have had some much better results, even in a prehistoric offensive system.

You love to show up in every **** thread, just to f'uck it up! I am not one to call for permabands, but yours would be welcomed with open arms.

ALL OF THIS.

I asked someone on the team who they thought was the best qb they said williams. Ahmon richards said on a podcast he had not been to any practices this year but he basically thought williams was the real deal.

This rule should go for the whole board up until they get banned

If he puts it all together he can be the best of the bunch, but hearing maturity is still an issue
Are we talking on the field stuff or off the field issues? I can't speak to his maturity or the lack thereof, but the topic seems to surface everytime Williams is the subject at hand. I would love to know what is holding the kid back, because he seems to have a great skill set. Your opinion is one that I put value in, because you've shown yourself to be a true Cane, who doesn't have a personal vendetta against any of our players.
