At that point in time it simply was not true. It wasn’t true then and it’s not true now. The guy got fired because he couldn’t win it all at a program with virtually unlimited resources. Top five classes, a recruiting base second to none, fan support, etc etc. Aside from his cheap *** AD, he had the perfect set up and couldn’t get it done. In all his years he only won the SEC twice. Never even made it to the championship game.

you compare that with Mullen and leach and you realize the job they did was much better. Mullen was the best hire and if we had hired him when we were supposed to, we wouldn’t be having this discussion we’d be in great shape.

At that point in time, yes dan Mullen was the much better hire and any intelligent person that watches college football knew it.

Manny Diaz was the next up and coming coach for a non major program. That’s specifically why he was set to go to temple. We paid temple $4 million to take manny back from them. The idea that we didn’t have the money to hire a legit coach is bull****.

it was suppose to be mario. I wanted butch instead of Richt BUT i would have taken Mark Stoops over manny any day of the week

he was basically fired here. he was told to get an OC because they knew he wouldnt nad he would quit. they were saving him face.

Mark stoops was another guy I would have taken. There were plenty of options when manny was hired and when richt was hired. We just have an incompetent, effeminate AD that knows **** about sports and made two **** hires.

everyone i know who knows football, coaches, players, etc all think Stoops would crush it here. Mario i wasnt sure on but the guy can recruit and has a great network. Manny will always have one hand tied behind his back because he worked for mack brown who clearly didnt like his style and Dan Mullen but any of mullens good coaches will work for him.
