'Bama's roster has only 22 upperclassmen. Only 4 are Seniors/Graduates. It's more about recruiting great players and coaching them up.

In college football it's about talent, period. A true freshman QB won Alabama the national championship last year.

Richt: Let the young talent play!!

Bama has close to 70% blue chip players while we're sitting at 46%. Close comparison!

But since everybody loves to throw out the line about Bama's true freshman QB it's worth noting that he didn't take over until 15 games into the season. After the regular season and after bowl practices and a playoff game. You see how that's more time than week 2?

Wait what happen to caneinsight posters wanting to redshirt everyone?
When was that a thing ? Idk when you see senior players that no other power 5 school wanted getting blown back by savanah st that will make you reconsider playing talent over experience

It’s easy to recruit and win with an abundance of riches and you can take chances at new dudes even when they’re not really chances.
Alabama has 5 and 4 stars riding the pine because a freshman took theire spot. Kids transferring including qb’s.
Not worrying about transfer requests cause you got some dude coming in or have 2 or 3 in his spot just as good.
Everyone said saban had huge nuts for burning tua’s Shirt and playing him. Well I heard that the reason he wanted tua was because of his little brother. Not everyone is in that position to have a good qb and he younger brother committed who is better. We’re having problems keeping Ryque, can’t get battle, and Nunn ain’t flipped either.
We’re treading in shallow waters at defensive positions and need dudes like Nesta that can come in and play. If we don’t get those dudes this year our defense looks really thin next year and we’re a few injuries away from that already. We’re very fortunate that at least one dt freshmen can play. Not something that happens very often on any squad.
Last year we were fortunate that Donaldson and Gaynor could lace them up at another position that freshmen usually don’t and it still showed that hey weren’t ready in some games.
