I don’t think Ole Miss neutralized our strength. Our gameplan was to stop 1. Scambles. 2. Sacks. We achieved #1 by staying in our lanes. We gave up only 1 long run. As far as sacks it probably hurt us that Bain had the super flu and Mesidor was hurting. Hope we can get a bit more healthy in next 10 days.I have a ton of respect for what Mendoza has accomplished and how well coached IU is. That said, he's a different QB with pressure, and looking back at Ole Miss their QB and OL did a great job to neutralize our strength.
Tonight's game shows you can't turn the ball over and give up 28 points on D. Gotta make them play in a phone booth and earn every inch.
