But one player sentiment expressed to us by multiple people was this: The benefits of a change from Philbin to Campbell will be marginal if defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle or offensive coordinator Bill Lazor isn’t replaced.

Coyle is as disliked by his players as any coach we’ve encountered here. Players pleaded with him in a meeting last Monday to change his approach, including his read-and-react style which keeps defensive linemen from attacking as much as some would wish. Coyle made some concessions but not enough to please them.

It's true. Philbin had to go, but Lazor and Coyle are not making **** happen either. Read and react with guys like Suh, Wake, Vernon, and Jordan (when he's not high) is JUST DUMB...

Wow maybe golden helped with the scheme
 
it's really crazy how many parallels can be identified in both teams as far as coaching and personnel decisions. almost too much of a coincidence that two teams that share a stadium seem to have the exact same problems.
 
Suh showed up at practice without cleats, protesting the fact that he is asked to stand up and read, rather than penetrate. The man is a hero.
 
You know the coordinators suck when they make the TE coach the interim head guy.

Let's give them Al as new DC. We just have to keep quiet about his read, read, read, wait, ok now react defense. Heck Fins are even more brain dead that our BOT, they might bite.

They're both sloooooow and can't adapt
 
Philbin to the "U". Just the kind of guy the BOT would love to have. Can get him cheap and he's currently unemployed..
