Sedrick Irvin?

Wasn't it talked about constantly during Tim Irvin's recruitment that Sedrick hated Miami?

If he comes aboard, hopefully it's in nothing more than an off-field capacity like Cooney/DVD. He'd be an uninspiring hire as RB coach and a massive letdown since we're apparently pushing for a proven recruiting savage like Seider.
 
I mean he was once on Sabans support staff and the rb coach for Memphis so he's not just a highschool coach ala Ice Harris but he wouldn't be my first, second, or third choice.

Hate these hires of local HS coaches. They're always done to secure one or two guys that are on the team. Even in the (increasingly) rare instances where we get whoever it is, the hire never works out.
 
Would be a huge letdown after the Seider talk. Would be a really bad look for Manny after talking in his presser about all these offensive coaches calling to join his staff, and then hiring a HS coach.

Worked at Alabama, Memphis, and East Carolina.

Mark Ingraham personally thanked him in his heisman speech...played 4 years in the league. Big time connect for recruiting.
