Smart from the SEC. It’s already the hardest conference schedule, with the most intimidating road atmospheres in college football. Why would you make it even tougher?
The one non-conference game against another P4 school is a great addition. One-upped the BIG here.
I mean we can cry it’s an SEC circle jerk…but we’d want the same thing if we were playing some 4-5 combination of Texas, Bama, Georgia, LSU, A&M, OU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, UF every year.
Instead, we have Clemson, GT, Louisville, SMU? Doesn’t hold a candle unfortunately, as much as we want it to. Traveling to Virginia, Wake, BC, Cal, NC State, Stanford, Syracuse, GT…just isn’t the same. Recruits care about that, whether you want to believe it or not.
Point being, we need to gtfo out of the ACC.
