SEC model

i love what richt is doing but he is hiring from guys he knows and competed against who gave him the most trouble or he has worked with.

he is gonna do it his way. the miami way is for each coach who has been succesful to come in win state of miami in recruting and then develop kids the way they want to.

howard had his pro style offense and 3-4 d, jj changed the defense kept the offense. erickson came in changed to a one back offense kept the jj d. butch came in brought back pro style offense and jj d and coker just follwed that but lost state of miami, shannon alienated all state of miami coaches, golden was laughed at by same coaches recruited poorly in miami area and couldn't develop talent

richt has a history of developing talent. yes i know he didn't "win the big 1." georgia has 1 national title period, in its history. even with all that talent in georgia gt isn't winning nt either. and richt is a victim of his own success,

he is most succesful coach at georgia not named jim donnan. he will build miami his way and do so winning state of miami.

Those mofos who came from the SEC will be shocked how bad the competition bar FSU is, they will also be shocked how many studs they can walk to the games to check out. I say it again. Miami Ceiling is way higher than UGA's. Despite their consistency and our lack of.

So you're saying we should have hired a cheap head coach and a lot of assistants with little to no experience?
How about we run our program like Miami?

We shouldn't be trying to copy anyone. Clemson and FSU--especially FSU--will always be pretenders.

exactly. Dude doesn't know what we're talking about

we ran our program like miami the last time by hiring a "up and coming head coach" that was mildly succesful at a smaller school ala Jimmy johnson or dennis erickson, or even hired new first time head coaches like butch when we gave the reigns to coker and Shannon and kept our 'miami ties'. Really did wonders for our program

this is the best staff we've had in years

It's a great idea and smart way to do business. He is going to be in utter shock when he dives into Coastal Divisional play and see's how downright pathetic it truly is. I feel for the guy going from SEC environments to this sht show of a conference.

The Atlantic okay is even worse. At least the Coastal sent 5/6 teams from the division.

Can we stop calling everything that is smart football an "SEC model". The SEC doesn't have **** do with anything. What you are referring to is something that good coaches and teams do. This is not something the SEC started. The only reason the it seems like the SEC has it, is because many of the best coaches have gone to the SEC. The only thing I would call an SEC model is the fact that they tend to pay their coaches more which again, this is not something that only the SEC can do.

Everytime someone refers to something as an SEC model, it just reminds me of ESPN gobbling up the SEC load all over their chins in an attempt to convince everyone that only the SEC can do something.

Clemson is not following an SEC model. If anything Clemson looks a lot more like we did in the past. They are fast, athletic and physical. The SEC has primarily been physical grind em out teams except Florida and the recently added TA&M and Missou. As far as "SEC speed", we started that **** and really it was only LSU and UF, maybe UGA as well with "SEC speed", not the entire SEC.

Seriously we have to stop with the SEC model crap.
