The SEC doesn't have the power to decide if they can violate state imposed executive orders.
 
A lot of youth sports cranking back up here in Georgia full steam ahead the day after Memorial Day. Sooner for some. Would imagine Florida to be in same boat? Point being, if youth are returning, why shouldn't college teams at least be able to train together 🤔
 
This plan really does make sense. You can socially distance with athletes at a facility. Stagger meal and workout times. Have a cleaner at the facility at all times. My office has been open since the start of the lockdown and after the 1st week all remained healthy.

There are 3 parts to this:
a The school.
b The players.
b1 Practice
b2 The games
c The stadium.

I've seen plans for a and c.
Whether one thinks it's enough is another question.
Now to b.
Given Frenk's plan for the school and their ability to test, I believe the players are good to go with summer camp.
The question is b2, whether other school's players have similar plans in testing.

it terms of fairness for these kids, if they havent opened up campus for summer classes then these kids shouldn't be forced to be on campus either. pay them and treat them as employees (legally pay them not the sec under the table doorstep ****) if you dont bring your normal students back but force the football players back. now im not saying they dont want to come back, but if it isnt safe for your students to be on campus in their eyes with classes, then these kids shouldn't be required to be on campus either. i say pay them 100k plus, make them W-2s, and then allow them to vote amongst on whether to come back or not (the way the pro leagues are gathering input from their players).

i just hope this ENDS the NCAA once and for all. i hope the G league destroys the idea of CBB as we know it bc **** the ncaa first and foremost

and there are offices in miami that opened up may 1 and now are requiring their entire office to get tested bc someones spouse tested positive. it all depends on the environment. for me, its about treating these kids the same as their normal student body. if these schools have already ended the idea of summer classes in person and have their students at home then allow the same for student athletes or give them the option to vote on whether they want to come back or not on june 1. of course its the KKK conference so it doesnt matter what the players say since they just care about how to profit off the backs of these kids

I'm not talking about politics bro. Because I'm definitely with you on that.
