Now they can REALLY hide under that SEC skirt. So much for those rivalry games...
My thought as well. I wonder if they'll eventually follow the ACC model with the 10 + 1 format. So much for those rivalry games...
There was only the threat of legislation if they dropped FSU. There is no actual law.How is UF going to get around that the legislature has mandated they play FSU every year?
No challenge to their hype machine. Best way to get 2+ teams in the playoffs. That’s going to be interesting. Especially UFag and FSWho. SEC probably wants to do as minimal games as possible in order to make themselves looks better come CFP time.
If it was reversed he’d be quick to say the ACC was scared.Finebum said it was the SEC's way of saying f*** you to the ACC
LMAO

How many times do we hear, "But an 8-3 SEC champion deserves to be in ahead of an 11-1 ACC champion."
Agree with this
Clemson, Miami, Unc, & ND (this year) can beat or keep up with any team in the SEC. Louisville & VT can beat or keep up with all the mid tier SEC teams. The gap is not as wide as they’d like you to think.Come on man. Besides Clemson, who else from the ACC was beating the SEC? UVA was headed for a complete beat down against UGA. This actually allows the ACC to save face.
It’s wider. Interconference play doesn’t tell the whole story. Put Louisville or VT in the SEC and they finish at the bottom. Same goes for UNC. IIT would get destroyed in the SEC.Clemson, Miami, Unc, & ND (this year) can beat or keep up with any team in the SEC. Louisville & VT can beat or keep up with all the mid tier SEC teams.
