We shut down the whole economy when the outbreak started and now we're talking about fan attendance in the midst of 1,500,000 active Covid-19 cases. We're now seeing Covid-19 cases rise in several states including Florida. The Mayor of Miami has called a halt to moving to phase 3 of economic recovery until. cases decrease.

I just don't see how there will be any fan attendance if there's a football season at all.

If hundreds of thousands can march and attend a funeral for one man, then we can attend sporting events. They can not play it both ways, its their right to gather and its our right also. I'm all for gathering and protesting social injustice, but everyone should have the right to make that same choice when it comes to everything else in life.

TBH none of us have a clue to what will transpire this season. I'd imagine we'll have some clear response from the decision makers here in about a month??? Hoping we have a season 🙏.

If fans are banned from attending games (if there are games) there is nothing you can do about it.

I don't really tailgate but if the games are open to fans I will be there watching.

I would go to the games regardless but that scenario will never happen. It's unlikely any fans will be watching games in person this season.

We have a lot of good home games this year. Pitt, NC, and FSU all will be Marquee games. Even the Temple game will be interesting with the Manny factor. I dont live in State and it will suck losing out on resale and getting to one of these home games.

I'm just curious why they would not let you tailgate but enter the Stadium. Seems like a silly question. It's all about wearing masks and social distancing. Unless of course they only let 20,000 fans in and spread them apart.

At most your will see stadiums with 25% capacity. That’s what nascar and some others are attempting for now

It's not as far-fetched as you think.

In a stadium, you have an assigned seat. So necessarily, the number of fans you come into contact with is somewhat limited during the game. (Ingress and egress is a different story, but I suspect the chances of picking up covid during those instances is likely small.)

If folks are allowed to tailgate freely, you'll have responsible tailgaters, but you'll also undoubtedly have a group of 30+ drinking, socializing and mingling. That could enhance the possibility of spreading. We already know that the 20- and 30-year age group is not taking this seriously, so college crowds are inherently problematic.

When you drink enough of that cool-aide, things that don't make any sense now become perfectly logical.

Anyone posting about an increase in cases please be sure to post about deaths (declining) and survival rates (increasing). We all got played and we are continuing to he played.

I was deemed nonessential and was forced to close for six weeks....that will never happen again.

More important is hospitalizations, which are ~13% of cases, down from ~18% three weeks ago.
