Season Outlook: 2021

Season starts this week. I’m not going to get emotional and act like the sky is falling. 99% of teams in college football would get skull ****ed worse than Miami did on Saturday by Bama.

So you are dismissing the performance outright? Did you see a single bright spot? I think even in a loss to Bama, the team should show you they have a pulse at least to build on. I got nothing from that game, nada, zip. Get in on early pricing for your ACC Coastal champs tshirt and wear it with pride around town to show your team spirit!

Not dismissing, losing sucks, but defensively the scheme was improved compared to last year. Run fits were better, slight improvement in pass rush integrity, young is just that good at escaping. Tackling was disappointing, but I kinda fall in the t rob school of thought when it comes to that. Bama just has world beaters that are going to break tackles. I was very encouraged by the group tackling and their were multiple guys in or around the tackle at all times on Saturday. Even my buddy who hates Miami commented how much better the defense looked. Offensively, I’m disappointed we were so conservative, but that’s probably the best defense saban has had in years and could have been the best ever if Allen didn’t get hurt.

Compared to last year and the year before, this team did show it has a pulse, it’s just classic CIS to act like the sky is falling because we looked like a team with 3 stars 4 stars playing against 5 stars and high 4 stars led by an NFL level coaching staff that is unique is college football.

in the next 2 weeks if we blow out app state and Michigan state everybody will be right back on board. This board is a melodramatic 13 year old girl.

however, if we are in dog fights the next 2 weeks then I’ll start sounding the alarms.

I hear you, but enough with the Bama are gods rationalization.

They aren't and our Canes were putrid, mainly on the coaching side.

I absolutely see next 2 weeks as dogfights, given that we saw the same team show up. Hope am being a mope. Will eat that **** sammich, but don't think I will.

App State was an accurate passer away from winning that game.

Michigan State isn’t going to make the same mistakes App State did. This game is easily a toss up. In fact, I think MSU beats Miami.
