Lol searles.
I’ve been saying this for years: position coaching impact is dictated by what the coordinator tells him to do. From individual drills to what they’re supposed do in the game is all decided by the coordinator.
Stance, steps (backpeddle, shuffle, etc...), alignment are all decide by the coordinator. Position coaches need to be able to coach what’s TOLD to them. That’s why you hire position coaches that are dogs as recruiters.
Allen Hurns broke records with Brennan caroll coaching him and James coley calling plays. He also made stacey coley a freshman AA and dorsett a first round pick. And get this, he never played wr or coached it until 2013.
We played better with Simpson after kul (supposed best dL “developer” in cfb), who’s now unemployed.
Position coaching impact doesn’t differentiate much. What matters is if the guy calling the plays can create a system with production and simplicity, as well as having the ability to anticipate against his opponent.
@The Franchise was saying this ****, too.
