During Miami's first week of practice, offensive line coach Stacy Searels was primarily using a first team unit of LT Tyree St. Louis, LG Trevor Darling, C Tyler Gauthier, RG Kc McDermott, and RT Navaughn Donaldson.

The last couple practices, however, Searels has also been experimenting with a first team group of LT Kc McDermott, LG Trevor Darling, C Tyler Gauthier, RG Navaughn Donaldson, and RT Tyree St. Louis. This was also the group that UM was using today during the media viewing session of practice.

If kc is going to play tackle in needs to be RT. And i think donaldson will ball at RT or RG.

The second group was my prediction of the starting OLine in Game 1. Except I said Odogwu (injured) would start over St Louis.

So we know who our starting LG and C are, just got to figure out other three spots.

I don't mind McDermott at LT, he has alot to prove but he started showing his potential the end of last year, plus if darling and Donaldson slide inside we will have a pretty solid veteran line

Looks good to me. A lineup with those three interior linemen should be able to maul most teams up the middle in the power running game.

McDermott should never see the guard position. He's abominable there.

This, he was at least serviceable at left tackle.

Also nothing against Linder but I don't want him even in the 2 deep, kid was awful last season.

When will you guys give McDermott and Linder a break? One was recovering from a major injury and still not 100%, the other was playing injured. McDermott was a top 5 OT coming out of high school, and has been a starter since his freshman year. I have no doubt he'll take a starting spot somewhere on the line, hopefully at LT or RT.

Linder's not as gifted, was considered a glue guy when recruited. But he ended up playing way beyond what anyone imagined, also starting as a freshman. Gauthier may surpass him at Center. But he's had very good snaps and games in the past, and if healthy will contribute and play a critical role on this team.
