supposed Lead recruiter, co-dc/s coach, doesn’t even get mentioned by a future Oregon safety lmao. I wonder who helped more—the guy who has know Benjamin since he was little or the dude who was the db coach for the 2-9 Duke Blue Devils in 2020?
 
Most of us probably assumed the start of spring practice was the deadline for hiring the additional defensive backs coach. However, with spring practice concluding on Saturday and no coach in place (I recognize Tony Jefferson is the interim coach), what should our reasonable expectation be on the hiring of the new coach? June? July? The start of fall practice?

Before the first OVs which is the last weekend of May. Ideally the new coach would have a few weeks to get acclimated before then.

If it gets to mid-may and there is still no hire then I’d be concerned

I would guess after UO spring game.. Forgot where I heard it but alot of these deals that get signed have buyouts that expire at certain times, even after spring.. Might be what happened here, idk just guessing.. Seems like an open secret its the UO guy but insiders have been wayyyy off on coaching hires in past

This makes the most sense. Marc is currently at LSU. He is from Miami and has previously worked with the current staff. He was brought over to LSU by Guidry when he was an assistant safeties coach, and hired under Brian Kelly. Both are no longer at LSU. Plus it would be good to bring him back as I'm sure he learned a couple things working under Corey Raymond. This should be a priority.
