Scrimmage today

You don’t dismiss Lyle, simply because you need depth at that position, always.

But my lord, that guy can’t see one of his feet without shooting at it.

Or without slamming one down on a gas pedal HEYYYOOOOOOOOO

The RB room is loaded. Lyle had a great camp, prior to legal issues. Whoever says Javion Mallory hype is to fill for Lyle hype is dumb. Mallory is getting more snaps bc Lyle is out, this is true. But he’s a bad bad man.

Football gods willing to, we will play 16 games this year and rotate 3-5 rbs. We will then cut that to 3 RBs heading into November / December

Lyle is probably suspended first 4 games. Thats why Mallory is getting hype. If Mallory is actually good that is a bonus. Surprised Hellcat is getting zero buzz.
Another theory (tho unfounded) is that maybe Pringle is dinged up. We hear about Fletcher. We heard about Lyle up until the arrest. We've heard about Mallory the last week or so, and today we heard about Marty Brown. But, we haven't heard a peep about Pringle.

Because media are discouraged (more like prohibited) from talking about injuries, we are forced to read between the lines and speculate why none of the websites are touting Pringle.

No news on Pringle just might mean he is not 100% right now. It might also mean absolutely nothing.

Anyone who keeps getting brought up...Im not buying it. Smoke screen. Its the Freshman that they dont bring up that we know are being kept top secret. (Dunnigan and Briggs in my opinion are the ones they are keeping close to the vest) Mario gets asked all the time in interviews what freshman are doing well and he never answers. I think Mallory is doing well but we will see how much PT he gets.
They've hyped up Dunnigan like crazy. If they were trying to keep him a secret, they're not doing a very good job. Briggs also but to a lesser extent.

My view is they hype up just about everyone. It's their job to keep us rabid fans excited. And they're fans also.

Pretty standard. Offense will take time to gel. Struggling to throw against this defense which is the best or close to the best they will face all year.

Good that the big freshman and Rodriguez are run blockers but could also mean what some have concerns which is the DLine will take a step back against the run.

LB depth has always been weak.

Pringle must be injured or in the doghouse as someone alluded to.

Who will be WR 3 is a big question mark.

Let’s get ready to go out west and dominate Stanford!

Going against this Defense day in and out will only get them prepared to go against NDs defense in Nov which most talking heads say could be the best in the country. I saw some mock draft that had 4 ND defensive players going in the 1st round.

On the Pod D$ said (And AR agreed) LT with Samson, RT with McCoy and C with Rodriguez is likely locked up and they do not see much change there so it is the 2 G spots. They did mention Buchanan as making another strong push but sounds like we have 3/5 on the OL set.

Seems like WR3 may be between Upshaw and Moore IMO and maybe they view them interchangeably depending on matchup. Smaller CB that can be bodied easily, they play Moore more, slower CB not as shifty, Upshaw more.

I think at this point you will see a rotation at guard until cogdon and Cantwell take those spots. Buchanan is likely OL6. No clue who is after him on the depth chart. Need 8 who can play.

Miami will probably go 6 deep at WR early in the year.

I like that strategy but I would love to see Josh Moore “Moss” Leonard Moore on a go route 🐕 😎

Podcast pretty strong today. Not football related per se but man has Ahmmon really developed as a podcaster. He’s gotten crazy good at waltzing a comment into a commercial and you don’t see it coming.

Ahmmon for Pete clearly the best canes 2026 upgrade and it’s not close. More knowledge and lost that gloomy dr negativo schtick of Pete.
Agreed. Ahmon has turned it around very quickly. Surprised at how seasoned he's sounding on these podcasts. Much better than that Petey Pooper guy

I thought it was funny when you referenced Lyle having “legal issues”. You get that I guess at 130 mph.

Nobody has mentioned Fletcher all Spring. There's a reason for that. Same reason Pringle is not talked about.
