Scrimmage highlights

Everyone else has their spring game on TV. The Canes treat their practices like it's a national secret.

It's quite amusing at this point.
It was a scrimmage not a spring game...so no most teams don’t have practice on tv

I’ve railed on UM for running their practices like they are taking place just outside of Pyongyang, but I am more sympathetic here because it’s the first scrimmage. They didn’t even know if the QBs would be live for most of the week, and by all accounts this was a soft scrimmage.

Now if our spring game isn’t televised I’ll be the first to enlist for the reunification of the peninsula.

Of course us as fans would all enjoy seeing the boys in action on the field, but what is gained for the team by putting practices or scrimmages on TV? I get that most everyone does it, but being that we are installing an entirely new offensive scheme that is likely going to use a lot of trickery to assist a potentially suspect o-line, aren't we better off keeping our hand hidden? Maybe I'm in the minority on that, but this season I would be fine not showing a **** thing to the public until kickoff on 8/24.

It won't be televised.

Fine, but don't show a 50 second hype video either then.

I see you did the reading Homework of the north Florida thread..thoughts

We are so thin in depth at LB, corner and safety it’s ridiculous. I just hope we don’t get hit at those positions with injuries
You are always thin in the spring especially after losing 3 dbs to the league.

We got 4 more dbs with great talent coming in(bolden, keontra smith, Christian Williams, tecory couch) in addition to 2 very talented linebackers in Avery huff and Sam brooks who are elite athletes at the position

The last time I remember any kind of broadcast was 2013 and I had to stream it on ESPN 3. Pretty sure nothing since, that's 6 years and 2 head coaches since. It's ridiculous!

The last spring game that was "televised" was in 2016. It was streaming only. Richt's first year. It was at Lockhart because Hard Rock or whatever it was called at the time was in use. Richt didn't like the look of that so he didn't televise in 2017 which wasn't at the stadium either. They didn't even call it a spring game. We had access to the stadium in 2018 and it still wasn't televised. No idea the reason.
