Al doesn't get the elite croots from Jersey, thats what people need to understand. If he did, Minkah and Wimbush would be in the class.

Bingo, for this recruiting cycle anyway.

It's awesome that we've landed legit studs from Jersey like AQM and Hester in the last couple years. Even Olsen, who some have soured on for various reasons since he's been here, was a great get at the time.

But no one would've had a negative word to say if we landed Fitzpatrick or Wimbush, both of whom have superstar potential. And obviously everyone would be thrilled to land elite talents like Gary or Walker in '16. Fans want studs regardless of where they come from.

The frustration, or outright vitriol in some cases, comes from the opinion that someone like Gordinier shouldn't be a suitable replacement for potentially failing to land superior in-state LB talent (excluding Perry, who committed a long time ago and is definitely a beast). Thinking specifically of Coney and Sheppard, not even including someone like Holland who we have no realistic chance of landing.
